Timacuan has first class banquet facilities for your entertainment needs and
dining enjoyment. Our food and beverage staff can provide professional catering
for any large party or wedding event that you may require. If you need wedding
planning, our staff can provide special and original ideas for your wedding and
reception.
The club serves dinner three times a week and lunch 7 days a week with a very special Sunday Brunch. Our clubhouse is 24,000 square feet with a traditional Florida design. We offer informal dining in the Grille Room and fine dining in our main dining area of the club overlooking the golf course.
The Golf Course Timacuan was built in 1987 and was originally a Ron Garl design. This semi-private course was renovated in 1996 by architect Bobby Weed. Par is 71 and the course plays over 6,900 yards from the back tees. Timacuan offers 5 sets of tees to accommodate the golfer of any skill level and was recently given the prestigious award of one of the “Top Fairways For Women” and one of the Most Women Friendly Golf Courses in America by Golf for Women Magazine 1997; was also Ranked 14th in the State of Florida by GolfWeek Magazine. The NBC affiliate WESH TV, Channel 2 named the number 2-signature hole one of the “18 Toughest Holes in Central Florida”. The Orlando Sentinel Readers’ poll voted
Timacuan “Seminole County’s Most Popular Course to Play”. Timacuan is the home of the Timacuan Golf Academy – operated by Mike Bender P.G.A., named as one of the “Top 100 Instructors in America” by Golf Magazine. Timacuan also hosts the annual Central Florida Amateur Golf Championship, “The Amateur”, sponsored by the Central Florida Sports Commission. Golf Instruction Timacuan provides instruction for the very beginner golfer to the more experienced golfer. For the lady who wants to learn golf in a friendly atmosphere we offer group instruction every Wednesday night at our driving range at 6 pm. For individual golf instruction, Timacuan offers professional instruction through the Timacuan Golf Academy by Mike Bender, who is ranked in the top 25 golf instructors in the country. We are very lucky to have this expertise at Timacuan and our members take full advantage. Timacuan provides one of the best golf courses around and one of the friendliest
staffs to make your golf experience as good as it gets. With your membership,
you will be able to participate in the many golf groups within Timacuan such as
the Men's and Women's Golf
Associations that sponsor events each week. These groups also have special
tournament events throughout the year. One event is the Men’s Thursday Night
Scramble where over 40 men participate and allows you the opportunity to play
and meet fellow members. There is also Couples Golf each week for the
husband/wife golf enthusiasts with monthly Couples’ tournaments and club
championships.
